About Me
Hello! My name is Adrien and I am an experimental petrologist / volcanologist who studies igneous rocks at the micro scale to learn about large scale processes. I obtained my Ph.D. at the Department of Earth Sciences in Honolulu. During my PhD, I investigated magmatic processes at Kīlauea Volcano using olivine morphologies, compositions and zoning, and numerical modeling. I am an earth scientist by trade, and I love all aspects of the natural world from studying it, to hiking, traveling, and exploring all of the breath taking sights to be seen. In my free time I enjoy listening to music, and being active whether that be tennis, swimming or hiking.
